myPAL Prepayment Kiosk Receives Prestigious Industry
Award
School-Link Technologies (SL-Tech), a leading
provider of school foodservice management solutions,
announced that its myPAL Prepayment Kiosk was
selected as the “Best Food Service Deployment” by
the judges of the kiosk industry’s recent KioskCom
Self Service Excellence Awards. The awards honor
innovation in self-service business solutions and
interactive digital media. The award was presented
after final judging at the industry’s KioskCom trade
show, which was held on April 16-17, 2008 in Las
Vegas.
Acting as a “reverse ATM,” the myPAL Prepayment
Kiosk accepts cash prepayments that are immediately
credited to each student’s school meal account.
myPAL serves as a critical component to operating
“cashless” cafeterias, which have been proven to
improve cash control, increase line speed, and
encourage higher levels of participation amongst
students of all meal statuses – paid, reduced, and
free.

Praised for its simplicity, industry judges selected
the myPAL kiosk over a prominent category finalist.
The judges most admired that the myPAL Prepayment
Kiosk completes the picture for foodservice at
schools, helping Child Nutrition professionals reach
and feed more students.
“We are honored to receive this industry award,”
said Chip Goodman, SL-Tech CEO. “We consistently
strive to be on the cutting-edge of solutions for
school cafeterias. It is gratifying to be recognized
by kiosk industry leaders for helping school
nutrition programs meet 21st century challenges for
speed and quality customer service.”
